TRANSMISSION SUPPORT CROSSMEMBER

Transmission Support Crossmember:






Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.






2. Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember.
- To install, tighten to 90 N-m (9.2 kgf-m, 66 ft-lbf).

CAUTION: Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.

3. Support the transmission with a suitable jack.






NOTE: 4WD transmission support crossmember shown, 2WD transmission support crossmember similar.

4. Remove the transmission support crossmember.
1. Remove the 6 transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (3 each side).
2. Remove the transmission support crossmember.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
