Variable Valve Timing Solenoid: Service and Repair

OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable,
2. Remove the charge air cooler.
3. Remove the ignition coils.
4. Disconnect the OCV connectors.
5. Disconnect the CMP connectors.
6. Disconnect the P/S oil pump connector.
7. Remove the ventilation hose.
8. Remove the cylinder head cover.





9. Remove the OCV installation bolt.
10. Install the OCV installation bolt.
Tightening torque 8.0 - 11.5 Nm (81.6 - 117.2 kgf-cm, 70.9 - 101.7 inch lbs.)
11. Install the cylinder head cover.
12. Install the ventilation hose.
13. Connect the P/S oil pump connector.
14. Connect the CMP connector.
15. Connect the OCV connector.
16. Install the spark plugs.
17. Install the ignition coils.
18. Install the charge air cooler.
19. Connect the negative battery cable.
