Shift-Lock Inspection

SHIFT-LOCK INSPECTION

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Verity that the selector lever is in the P position.
3. Verity that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P position without depressing the brake pedal.
4. Depress the brake pedal and verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P position.
^ If there is any malfunction, inspect the interlock cable.
