Pinpoint Test 3
PINPOINT TEST 3: A SINGLE MIRROR DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH SWITCH LOGICStep 1 - 2:
Normal Operation
The exterior mirror control switch uses circuits (R), (DL), (Y), (DG) and (V) to control the exterior rear view mirror movement.
- When power is directed through circuits (R) and (DG) and ground through circuit (Y), the LH/RH exterior rear view mirror will operate left.
- When ground is directed through circuits (R) and (DG) and power through circuit (Y), the LH/RH exterior rear view mirror will operate right.
- When power is directed through circuits (DL and /(V) and ground through circuit (Y), the LH/RH exterior rear view mirror will operate down.
- When ground is directed through circuits (DL) and (V) and power through circuit (Y), the LH/RH exterior rear view mirror will operate up.
Possible Causes
- circuit (R) open
- circuit (DL) open
