REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR AND SENSOR RING





Removal and Installation
1. On four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles, the rear sensor ring is integral to the rear axle halfshaft and cannot be repaired separately.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.





4. Release the grommet and pull the connector through the body.





5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor harness electrical connector.





6. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bolt.





7. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bolts.





Note: Clean the area surrounding the wheel speed sensor and bolt before removal.

8. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and wheel speed sensor.





9. On front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles, remove the rear ABS sensor ring.
1. Remove the nut.
2. Remove the sensor ring.

Note: Thoroughly clean the wheel speed sensor and mounting surface before installation.

10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
