Parking Brake System: Adjustments
PARKING BRAKE SHOW ADJUSTMENT1. Remove the rear brake disc.
2. Using the special tool, measure the inside diameter of the drum portion of the rear brake disc and set the locking screw.
3. Place the special tool over the widest diameter of the parking brake shoes.
^ Adjust the parking brake shoe clearance to 1.07 mm (0.042 inch) less than the inside diameter of the drum portion of the rear brake disc.
^ Rotate the parking brake shoe adjuster wheel to achieve the correct parking brake shoe-to-brake disc clearance.
4. Install the brake disc.
5. Verify correct parking brake operation.
6. If necessary, adjust the parking brake cable.
