Normal Operation
The instrument cluster receives the safety belt switch status from the RCM through circuit (LB/P). The RCM signals the instrument cluster when the safety belt is unfastened by grounding circuit (LB/P). A safety belt minder chime that is operating correctly indicates that the RCM is monitoring and transmitting the correct operation of the safety belt status to the instrument cluster.
