Pinpoint Test 2

PINPOINT TEST 2: THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

Step 1 - 5:

Normal Operation
The SJB receives power from circuit (B/LG). The SJB sends a reference signal to the multifunction switch through circuit (R/Y). When the multifunction switch is switched to the headlamps ON position, the voltage signal is routed to ground through circuit (B/W). When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the headlamps ON position, the SJB sends voltage to the headlamps. When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the headlamps ON and low beam positions, the SJB sends voltage through circuits (DG/O) (RH headlamp) and (DL/W) (LH headlamp) to the low beam headlamps. Circuit (B) is the ground circuit for the headlamps.

Possible Causes
- circuit (DL/W) short to ground
- circuit (DG/O) short to ground
- circuit (B/LG) open
- circuit (R/Y) open
- multifunction switch
- SJB
