Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

KNOCK SENSOR (KS) - 2.3L

Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.




2. Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE: The knock sensor (KS) is located on the RH side of the cylinder block.

3. Disconnect the KS electrical connector and remove the connector from the mounting bracket.
4. Remove the bolt and the KS.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
