Body - Right Front Bumper Not Flush With Fender

2007 CX-7 - FRONT RIGHT BUMPER DOES NOT FIT FLUSH WITH FENDER

DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles the right side of the front bumper does not fit flush with the front fender, which causes a poor appearance.





The front rib of the bumper retainer contacts the front bumper, which prevents the bumper from fitting flush with the fender. The front rib of the bumper retainer is now cut off during mass-production.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.





2. Remove right front bumper fastener (inside wheel well).





3. Pull right front bumper outward in the following order and detach it from fender.





4. Cut off front rib of bumper retainer with suitable cutters.





5. If front bumper connector is deformed/dented, push it back in.

6. Install right front bumper in fender in the following order.





7. Reinstall right front bumper fastener (inside wheel well).

8. Verify repair.
