Engine Oil Control Valve: Service and Repair

OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the ventilation hose.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
5. Remove the resonance chamber.
6. Remove the dynamic chamber and throttle body as a single unit.
7. Disconnect the wiring harness.
8. Remove the ignition coils.
9. Remove the dipstick.
10. Remove the cylinder head cover.
11. Remove the OCV.

Note
^ The LH side is shown, however, the RH side is the same.





Tightening torque
8.5-11.5 N-m (87-117 kgf-cm, 76-101 in-lbf)

12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
