Output Device Operation Check ModeInspection
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.
3. Remove the dashboard under cover (passenger side).
4. Remove the glove compartment.
5. Short the check connector terminal A to the ground using a jumper wire.
6. Expose the solar radiation sensor to natural sunlight.
NOTE: If natural sunlight is not shone on the solar radiation sensor, the climate control unit determines a malfunction and indicates DTC "02, 04".
7. Start the engine.
8. Press the AUTO switch.
9. Verify the operation of the each output device when changing steps by pressing the REC switch, and referring to the output device operation check chart.
- If not as specified, inspect the malfunctioning system.
NOTE: If the AUTO switch is pressed again, the onboard diagnostic function will return to present failure indication mode.
10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position to end the output device operation check mode
