ENGINE HARNESS REPLACEMENT SERVICE CAUTION (PCV VALVE HEATER
ELIMINATION)

APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS

2007-2008 CX-9 vehicles with VINS lower than JM3TB******144210 (produced before January 7, 2008)

DESCRIPTION

Due to design change, the PCV valve heater and harness connectors have been eliminated, and replacement engine wiring harness will not have connections for the PCV valve heater fitting (0140-20) or PCV valve heater control (0140-21).





If it becomes necessary to replace the engine wiring harness, the replacement engine wiring harness (TF01-67-080A) will require a short cord (A) (TD74-67-SH0) installed between the PCV valve heater fitting (B) and the PCV valve heater control (C) in order to prevent rusting.

Note:
This change does not affect vehicle smog compliance.
