Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL]

Warning:
^ A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until then are cool before replacing the ATF.


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner component.
3. Drain the ATF





4. Remove the oil cooler.
5. Remove the oil pipe.
6. Remove the control valve body.

Caution:
^ Do not damage the input/turbine speed sensor.






7. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.
8. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.

Tightening torque
3.9 - 6.9 Nm (40 - 70 kgf-cm, 26 - 60 in-lbf)

9. Install the control valve body
10. Install the oil pipe.
11. Install the oil cooler.
12. Add ATF to the specified level.
13. Install the air cleaner component.
14. Connect the negative battery cable.
