Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR - 2.3L REMOVAL/INSTALLATION






1. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the bolt and the CMP sensor.
- To install, tighten to 7 N.m {0.7 kgf.m, 62 in.lbf}.
- Inspect the O-ring seal and install new as necessary.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft position (CMP) sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
