Quick Release Coupling Double Locking
QUICK RELEASE COUPLING DOUBLE LOCKINGDisconnect - Type I
WARNING:

- Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure, even when the engine is not running. Before servicing or disconnecting any of the fuel lines or fuel system components, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental spraying of fuel. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
1. If servicing a liquid fuel tube quick connect coupling, release the fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE.
2. Disconnect the quick connect coupling from the tube.
- Press the quick connect coupling release button and separate the quick connect coupling from the tube.
NOTE: When reusing liquid or vapor tube connectors, make sure to use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the connector retaining clip area before separating from the tube.
Connect - Type I
1. Install the quick connect coupling onto the tube until fully seated.
NOTE:
- Make sure the tube clicks into place when installing into the quick connect coupling. To make sure that the tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
- Apply clean engine oil to the end of the tube and the quick connect coupling O-ring seals.
Disconnect - Type II
WARNING:

1. Rotate the lock tab on the quick connect coupling.
2. Disconnect the quick connect coupling from the fitting.
- Pull on the quick connect coupling and separate from the fitting.
NOTE: When reusing liquid or vapor tube connectors, make sure to use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the connector retaining clip area before separating from the tube.
Connect - Type II
1. Rotate the lock tab and install the quick connect coupling onto the fitting.
NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the end of the tube and the quick connect coupling O-ring seals.
2. Release the lock tab into the latched position.
NOTE: Make sure the fuel tube clicks into place when installing the tube. To make sure that the fuel tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
Disconnect - Type III

2. Release the quick connect coupling primary lock tab.
NOTE: Carefully release the lock tab to avoid breakage.
3. Rotate the primary lock tab to the fully unlocked position and squeeze the secondary lock tabs to release the locking mechanism.
4. Disconnect the quick connect coupling from the tube.
- Push the locking mechanism outward and separate the quick connect coupling from the tube.
NOTE: When reusing liquid or vapor tube connectors, make sure to use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the connector retaining clip area before separating from the tube. Apply clean engine oil to the end of the tube before inserting the tube into the connector.
Connect - Type III
1. Install the quick connect coupling onto the tube until fully seated.
NOTE:
- Make sure the tube clicks into place when installing into the quick connect coupling. To make sure the tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
- Apply clean engine oil to the end of the tube and the quick connect coupling O-ring seals.
2. Depress the retainer clip until it is flush with the quick connect coupling housing.
NOTE: Make sure the retainer clip clicks into place when installing.
3. Rotate the primary locking tab to the closed position.
NOTE: To make sure the tube is fully seated, pull on the quick connect coupling.
Disconnect - Type IV

2. Using the special tool, disconnect the quick connect coupling from the tube.
- Install the special tool onto the tube.
- Push the tool into the quick connect coupling clip and separate the quick connect coupling from the tube.

Connect - Type IV
1. Install the quick connect coupling onto the tube until fully seated.
NOTE:
- Make sure the tube clicks into place when installing into the quick connect coupling. To make sure that the tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
- Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals.
Disconnect - Type V

2. Squeeze the quick connect coupling retainer clip tabs to release the locking mechanism.
3. Disconnect the quick connect coupling from the tube.
- Push the locking mechanism outward to release the quick connect coupling.
- Pull on the quick connect coupling and separate it from the tube.
NOTE: When reusing liquid or vapor tube connectors, make sure to use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the connector retaining clip area before separating from the tube.
Connect - Type V
1. Connect the quick connect coupling to the tube.
- Install the quick connect coupling onto the tube.
- Depress the locking tab until it is flush with the quick connect coupling housing.
NOTE:

- Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals.
