Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
PINPOINT TEST 1: THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) ARE INOPERATIVE
Normal Operation
When the ignition switch is in the RUN position, the headlamps are not on (from the autolamp system or manual control from the headlight switch), the vehicle is not in PARK (P) (automatic transaxle) or the parking brake is not applied (manual transaxle), the smart junction switch (SJB) provides voltage to the low beam headlamps at a reduced intensity.
Possible Causes
- Exterior lighting system input/output
- Ignition switch input
- Transaxle gear input (automatic transaxle)
- Parking brake switch input (manual transaxle)
- SJB
