Pinpoint Test 7: The Power Steering Control Module Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool

-
PINPOINT TEST 7: THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL - HYBRID

Normal Operation

The power steering control module communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN). Circuits (W/L) (HS-CAN +) and (W) (HS-CAN -) provide the HS-CAN network connection to the power steering control module. The power steering control module shares the HS-CAN network with the PCM, the ABS module, the 4X4 control module, the instrument cluster, the occupant classification sensor module, the restraints control module (RCM), the transmission control module (TCM) and the traction battery control module (TBCM). Voltage for the power steering control module is provided by circuit (Y/GY) and circuit (B/V) provides ground.

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Power steering control module

Diagnostic Procedure
