HYBRID - SLOW FUEL FILL

2008 Tribute Hybrid vehicles built before 11/26/2007

DESCRIPTION

Some 2008 Tribute Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a slow fuel fill concern. As a mass-production change, a modified fuel tank with a improved vapor valve set to improve slow fuel fill has been designed. When installing the modified fuel tank a modified fuel pump module is also required. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Remove fuel tank. Refer to Workshop Manual section 01-14 FUEL TANK REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - HYBRID.

3. Install modified fuel pump module into modified fuel tank. Refer to Workshop Manual section 01-14 FUEL PUMP MODULE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - HYBRID.

4. Install modified fuel tank. Refer to Workshop Manual section 01-14 FUEL TANK REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - HYBRID.

5. Verify repair.
