FRONT BRAKE JUDDER

APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2007-2011 Mazda3 vehicles (except Mazdaspeed3) with VINS lower than JM1BL******444805 (produced before January 6, 2011)

2008-2012 Mazda5 vehicles with VINS lower than JM1CW******107306 (produced before January 6, 2011)

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may exhibit a vibration in the steering wheel or the vehicle body when the brakes are applied. This is caused by uneven wear on the disc plate, depending on how the brakes are applied. To correct the problem, the production process of the disc plate has been changed.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace the front brake disc. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 04-11 FRONT BRAKE (DISC) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.

3. Verify repair.
