IGNITION SWITCH









Removal and Installation

1. Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS). See Depowering And Repowering.

2. Remove the 2 bolts and position the hood latch release handle aside.

3. Remove the screws and the lower instrument panel steering column cover.

4. Remove the 5 instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement bolts and the reinforcement panel.

- To install, tighten to 7 N-m (0.7 kgf-m, 62 in-lbf).

5. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

NOTE:The ignition switch should be in the OFF position.Remove the 2 ignition switch screws and the ignition switch.

- To install, tighten to 6 N-m (0.6 kgf-m, 53 in-lbf).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Repower the SRS. See Depowering And Repowering.
