Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Removal/Installation




INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL]

WARNING:
- A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until then are cool before replacing the ATF.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

3. Remove the under cover.

4. Drain the ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement

5. Remove the resonance chamber. Service and Repair

6. Remove the thermo valve. Removal and Replacement






7. Remove the control valve body. Removal and Replacement

CAUTION:
- Do not damage the input/turbine speed sensor.

8. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.






9. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.

Tightening torque
- 3.9-6.9 Nm {40-70 kgf-cm, 26-60 in-lbf}

10. Install the control valve body. Removal and Replacement

11. Install the thermo valve. Removal and Replacement

12. Install the resonance chamber. Service and Repair

13. Add ATF to the specified level. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement

14. Install the under cover.

15. Install the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

16. Connect the negative battery cable.

17. Perform the mechanical system test. Mechanical System Test
