Dashboard Removal/Installation

DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Decoration panel Decoration Panel Removal/Installation

b. Front console box mat Front Console Box Mat Removal/Installation

c. Indicator panel Indicator Panel Removal/Installation

d. Front console box Front Console Box Removal/Installation

e. Dashboard under cover Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation

f. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

g. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation

h. Console cover Console Cover Removal/Installation

i. Console Console Removal/Installation

j. Front scuff plate inner Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

k. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

l. Glove compartment Service and Repair

m. Hood release lever Service and Repair

n. Lower panel Lower Panel Removal/Installation

o. Column cover Service and Repair

p. Driver-side air bag module Driver-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation

q. Steering wheel Service and Repair

r. Combination switch Removal and Replacement

s. Center panel Center Panel Removal/Installation

t. Meter hood Meter Hood Removal/Installation

u. Instrument cluster Removal and Replacement

v. Audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation

w. Steering shaft Service and Repair

x. A-pillar trim A-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation

y. Side panel Side Panel Removal/Installation

3. Disconnect the front door wiring harness connector (Driver side). (See Front Door Module Removal/Installation.)

4. Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.

5. Remove the brake switch from the brake pedal with the brake switch connector connected. Service and Repair

6. Remove the selector lever component. Service and Repair

7. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. Windshield Wiper Arm And Blade Removal/Installation

8. Remove the cowl grille. Cowl Grille Removal/Installation

9. Remove the windshield wiper motor. Windshield Wiper Motor Removal/Installation

10. Remove in the order indicated in the figure.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.










Bolt D Removal Note

CAUTION:
- Bolt D cannot be removed from the body. Due to this, bolt D could be pinched when closing the front door, resulting in damage to the front door. When closing the front door, verify that bolt D is completely inserted

Dashboard Removal Note

WARNING:
- Removing the dashboard without supporting it can be dangerous. The dashboard may fall and injure you. Always perform the following procedure with at least another person.

1. Raise the dashboard and detach the hooks from the body.






2. Take the dashboard out through the opened front driver-side door.
