BUG IN REAR COMBINATION LIGHT
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2007-2009 MAZDA CX-9
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may experience a bug in the rear combination light. The bug enters the light through a ventilation hole (A) on the back of the light.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Remove the rear combination light. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 09-18 REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
3. Remove the bug from the rear combination light, then replace the cap over the ventilation hole with a modified one.
NOTE:
If the bug cannot be removed, replace the rear combination light with a new one. Before fitting the new light, replace the cap over the ventilation hole with a modified one.
4. Install the rear combination light.
5. Verify repair.
