Body Control Module: Service and Repair

BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the front scuff plate inner (LH). Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

3. Remove the front side trim (LH). Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

4. Remove the dashboard under cover. (Driver side) Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation

5. Set the hood release lever out of the way. Service and Repair

6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.










7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Dashboard Wiring Harness C Removal Note

1. As shown in the figure, lift the tab in the direction of the arrow (1) using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, and while keeping it lifted, pull it in the direction of the arrow (2) to remove.






BCM Removal Note

1. Raise the lower part of the BCM in the direction shown by the arrow and remove the pin with the BCM level.
