PINPOINT TEST 2: DTC C1095 - ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT FAILURE
Normal Operation
When the ignition key is turned to the RUN position, the ABS module will command the pump motor to run for approximately 2 seconds. During an ABS event, the ABS module will command the pump motor to run until the ABS event is over.Fused battery voltage for the hydraulic pump motor is supplied to the ABS module from battery junction box (BJB) fuse 9 (50A) along circuit (R) and ground is provided along (B/G).
- DTC C1095 (Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Pump Motor Circuit Failure) - When the ignition key is turned to the RUN position or anytime during a pump motor circuit check or ABS event, if the ABS module detects a short circuit to ignition or ground, an open circuit, a non-rotating pump or a defective internal power transistor, DTC C1095 will set.
Possible Causes
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Hydraulic control unit (HCU)
- ABS module
Diagnostic Procedure
CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
