PINPOINT TEST 33: DTC B1317 - BATTERY VOLTAGE HIGH

Normal Operation

The instrument cluster sets DTC B1317 in continuous memory if the instrument cluster detects battery voltage above 16 volts on circuit (Y/R).

Possible Causes
- Smart junction box (SJB)
- Instrument cluster

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
NOTE:DTC B1317 may be stored in the module memory due to past battery charging or vehicle jump starting events.
