PINPOINT TEST 22: THE HIGH BEAM INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON
Normal Operation
When the high beams are turned on, the smart junction box (SJB) sends a signal to the instrument cluster through the medium speed controller area network (MS-CAN) communication bus to illuminate the high beam indicator. If the high beam status message is missing for more than 5 seconds, the instrument cluster sets DTC U0140 in continuous memory and defaults the high beam indicator off.
NOTE:If DTC U0140 is set in the instrument cluster, other observable symptoms may also be present such as backlighting and door ajar indication.
