with VINs lower than JM1 BL **** ** 186334 (produced before July 14, 2009)

DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles, the crankshaft pulley removal SST (49 B011 105, 49 UN20 5072) will not go into the pulley opening, and the pulley cannot be removed.





This is caused by a burr, making the crankshaft pulley opening (A) too small for the SST (B) to fit in. The shape of the crankshaft pulley opening has now been changed.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Use air tools to remove the pulley, then install a modified pulley.
