Blind Spot Indicator: Testing and Inspection
BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the inner garnish. Inner Garnish Removal/Installation
3. Apply battery voltage to power outer mirror terminal G, and terminal B to ground.
4. Verify that the BSM indicator light illuminates.
- If the light dose not illuminate, go to the next step.
5. Remove the outer mirror glass. Outer Mirror Glass Removal Outer Mirror Glass Installation
6. Inspect for proper BSM indicator light connector connections, connection conditions, damage, corrosion, or deformation.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the power outer mirror or outer mirror glass.
7. Apply battery voltage to BSM indicator light terminal A, and terminal B to ground.
8. Verify that the BSM indicator light illuminates.
- If the light dose not illuminate, replace the outer mirror glass. Outer Mirror Glass Removal Outer Mirror Glass Installation
- If the light dose illuminate, go to the next step.
9. Verify that the continuity between the power outer mirror terminals is as indicated in the table.
- If not as indicated in the table, replace the power outer mirror. Power Outer Mirror Removal/Installation
