Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection

TRANSFER OIL INSPECTION [AW6AX-EL]

1. Park the vehicle on level ground.

2. Remove the oil level plug and with the washer.






3. Verify that the oil is near the brim of the plug port.

- If the oil level is low, add the specified amount and type of oil through the oil level plug hole.

Transfer oil
- Specified oil grade: API Service GL-5
- Specified oil viscosity: SAE 80W-90

4. Tighten the oil level plug with a new washer.

Tightening torque
- 39.2-58.8 Nm {4.0-5.9 kgf-m, 29.0-43.3 ft-lbf}
