Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.

2. Remove the throttle body (TB). See - Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.

4. Using a tool similar to KD Tool #58181 or Lisle T25 Torx Bit, remove the screw and the MAP sensor.

- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (0.3 kgf-m, 27 in-lbf).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:Lubricate the MAP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
