Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - 3.0L









1. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

2. Remove the bolt and the CMP sensor.

- To install, tighten to 10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}.
- Inspect the O-ring seal and install new as necessary.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
