DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [Bluetooth SYSTEM (HANDS-FREE TELEPHONE (HF/TEL) SYSTEM)]

Audio Unit (With Display)

Connection condition verification

1. Launch the on-board diagnostic test mode. DTC Inspection

2. Verify the connected unit.






3. To stop the on-board diagnostic test mode, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Software version verification

1. Launch the on-board diagnostic test mode. DTC Inspection

2. Verify the software version.






3. To stop the on-board diagnostic test mode, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Password reset

1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

2. Press the Selection switch 2 while pressing the SCAN switch until the password reset verification beep sound is heard.






3. Verify the "BT Password is Unlocked" is displayed in the display.






4. Cancel the diagnostic assist function by either turning off the audio unit power or by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Audio Unit (Without Display)

Connection condition verification

1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

2. Turn the audio power to OFF.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the Preset switch 4 and the TRACK/SEEK switch (down) for 3 s or more.






4. Verify the connected unit.






5. Cancel the diagnostic assist function by either turning off the audio unit power or by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Software version verification

1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

2. Turn the audio power to OFF.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the Preset switch 6 and the TRACK/SEEK switch (down) for 3 s or more.






4. Verify the software version.






5. Cancel the diagnostic assist function by either turning off the audio unit power or by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Password reset

1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

2. Turn the audio power to OFF.

3. Press the Preset switch 5 and SEEK/TRACK switch (down) while pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch until the password reset verification beep sound is heard.






4. Verify the "PASSWD CLEAR" is displayed in the multi information display. (Displayed is approx. 5 s.)






5. Cancel the diagnostic assist function by either turning off the audio unit power or by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

Car-navigation Unit

Starting procedure

1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

2. Turn the audio power to on.

3. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME button, simultaneously press the TUNE/AUDIO button for 0.2 s or more.






4. Press the "Diagnostic assist code input switch", and input the diagnostic assist code.

5. Select "ENTER".

6. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to return to the diagnostic assist code input screen.

7. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to release the diagnostic assist function.

Diagnostic assist code "37"connection condition verification

1. Press the "Diagnostic assist code input switch", and input the diagnostic assist code "37".

2. Select "ENTER".





3. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to return to the diagnostic assist code input screen.

4. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to release the diagnostic assist function.

Diagnostic assist code "38" software version verification

1. Press the "Diagnostic assist code input switch", and input the diagnostic assist code "38".

2. Select "ENTER".





3. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to return to the diagnostic assist code input screen.

4. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to release the diagnostic assist function.

Diagnostic assist code "39" password reset

1. Press the "Diagnostic assist code input switch", and input the diagnostic assist code "39".

2. Select "ENTER".





3. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to return to the diagnostic assist code input screen.

4. Press the POWER/VOLUME switch to release the diagnostic assist function.
