GENERAL PROCEDURES (STEERING)
Wheels and Tire Installation
1. When installing the wheels and tires, tighten the wheel nuts in a criss-cross pattern to the following tightening torque.
Tightening torque
- 107.8-147.0 Nm {11.0-14.9 kgf-m, 79.6-108.4 ft-lbf}
Connector Disconnection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable before performing any work that requires handling of connectors. Removal and Replacement
Power Steering Components Removal/Installation
1. If any power steering fluid line has been disconnected anytime during the procedure, add Mazda Genuine ATF M-III, M-V or Dexron(R)II, bleed the fluid lines, and inspect for leakage after the procedure has been completed.
