ABS HU/CM unit mismatched installation

DETECTION CONDITION

•  When G sensor signal input for more than 1 s to 4x2 (except high clearance model) vehicle-type ABS HU/CM.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Mismatched installation of ABS HU/CM

―  4x2 (except high clearance model) vehicle type ABS HU/CM is mismatched installed on 4x4 vehicle.

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	INSPECT ABS HU/CM FOR MISMATCHED INSTALLATION • Verify ABS HU/CM part number • Has a ABS HU/CM with the correct part number been installed?	Yes	Go to next step.
1		No	Replace with correct ABS HU/CM part number, then go to next step.
2	VERIFY CURRENT STATUS OF MALFUNCTION • Clear DTC from memory. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.) • Is same DTC present?	Yes	Replace ABS HU/CM. (See ABS HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2		No	Go to next step.
3	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT • Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.)
