TRANSFER OIL REPLACEMENT [R15MX-D]

1. Park the vehicle on level ground.

2. Remove the transfer under cover. (See TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [S15MX-D].)

3. Remove the drain plug with the packing.

4. Drain the oil into a suitable container.

5. Tighten the drain plug with a new packing.

Tightening torque

39—59 N·m {4.0—6.0 kgf·m, 29—43 ft·lbf}

6. Remove the filler plug with the packing and add the specified amount and type of oil through the filler plug hole until the level reaches the bottom of the filler plug hole.

Transfer oil [R15MX-D]

Grade: API Service GL-4 or GL-5

Viscosity (All season): SAE 75W-90

Viscosity (Above 10°C {50 °F}): SAE 80W-90

Capacity (approx. quantity): 2.0 L {2.1 US qt, 1.8 lmp qt}

7. Tighten the filler plug with a new packing.

Tightening torque

39—59 N·m {4.0—6.0 kgf·m, 29—43 ft·lbf}

8. Install the transfer under cover. (See TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [S15MX-D].)
