Caution

•  Water or foreign material entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign material on the connector when disconnecting it.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the boot panel. (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the 4x4 switch. (See 4x4 SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AT].)

4.  Install the boot panel. (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Connect the negative battery cable.
