PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F2, G6 (L.H.D. 4x2)]

1. Remove the fuel tank under guard. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F2].) (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G6].)
2. Remove the brake shoe (trailing shoe). (See REAR BRAKE (DRUM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION.)

Front Parking Brake Cable Removal Note
1. Slide the clip installed to the cable connector in the direction shown by the arrow.

2. Remove the end of the front parking brake cable from the cable connector.
