PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WL-C (4x2 EXCEPT HIGH CLEARANCE MODEL)]

1. Remove the fuel tank under guard. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WL-C, WE-C].)
2. Remove the brake shoe (trailing shoe). (See REAR BRAKE (DRUM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION.)

1. Install the front parking brake cable with the spring installation area of the equalizer pointed towards the inside of the vehicle.
