O/D OFF SWITCH INSPECTION [5R55S]

Operation Inspection

1.  Turn the engine switch to the ON position.

2.  Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated. Press the O/D OFF switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator light illuminates.

•  If there is any malfunction, inspect the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF switch. (See Voltage Inspection.)

Voltage Inspection

1.  Turn the engine switch to the ON position.

2.  Measure the voltage at the O/D OFF switch connector.

•  If there is any malfunction, inspect for continuity at the O/D OFF switch. (See Continuity Inspection.)

Continuity Inspection

1.  Disconnect the O/D OFF switch connector.

2.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If the switch is normal, inspect the wiring harness. (O/D OFF switch—TCM, O/D OFF switch—Body ground)

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the selector lever component. (See SELECTOR LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
