CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL

Without Heater

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the center panel unit or audio unit. (See CENTER PANEL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TYPE A].) (See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TYPE B].)

4.  Disconnect the connector A.

5.  Disconnect the air intake wire from the blower unit.

6.  Disconnect the airflow mode wire from the air outlet duct. (See Airflow Mode Wire and Air Mix Wire Disconnection Note (Secured-tab Type).)

7.  Release the left and right tabs and remove in the order indicated in the table.

8.  Disconnect the connector B.

9.  Remove the climate control unit.

With Heater

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the center panel unit or audio unit. (See CENTER PANEL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TYPE A].) (See AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TYPE B].)

4.  Disconnect the air intake wire from the blower unit.

5.  Disconnect the airflow mode wire from the heater unit. (See Airflow Mode Wire and Air Mix Wire Disconnection Note (Secured-tab Type).)

6.  Disconnect the air mix wire from the heater unit. (See Airflow Mode Wire and Air Mix Wire Disconnection Note (Secured-tab Type).)

7.  Release the left and right tabs and remove in the order indicated in the table.

8.  Disconnect the connector.

9.  Remove the climate control unit.

Airflow Mode Wire and Air Mix Wire Disconnection Note (Secured-tab Type)

1.  Remove the airflow mode wire and the air mix wire while spreading the wire clamp tabs outward.
