Differential oil inspection

1. Front final drive lubricant inspection procedure

1) Raise the vehicle.

2) Dispose of the differential oil in the oil catcher tank.

3) Remove the filler plug and gasket from the front drive axle.

4) Insert a finger through the filler plug hole to inspect the oil level.

Legend

If the oil level is below the specified amount, refer to the following and add differential oil.

Refer to "3.Driveline, Axle 3B.Differentials differential oil replacement".

5) Install the filler plug and gasket to the front drive axle.

Tightening torque: 50 N・m { 5.1 kgf・m / 37 lb・ft }

6) Lower the vehicle.

2. Rear final drive lubricant inspection procedure

1) Raise the vehicle.

2) Remove the filler plug and gasket from the rear axle.

3) Insert a finger through the filler plug hole to inspect the oil level.

Legend

If the oil level is below the specified amount, refer to the following and add differential oil.

Refer to "3.Driveline, Axle 3B.Differentials differential oil replacement".

4) Install the filler plug and gasket to the rear axle.

Tightening torque: 78 N・m { 8.0 kgf・m / 58 lb・ft }

5) Lower the vehicle.
