1. Steering wheel is difficult to control diagnostics

Improper tire combination, or unevenly worn tires

  • Replace the tire.

Improper tire air pressure

  • Adjust the tire air pressure.

Strong force in the horizontal direction of the radial tire

  • Replace the tire.

Improper wheel alignment

  • Inspect the wheel alignment.

Refer to "204.Driveline, Axle 17C.Functional Inspection wheel alignment check".

Brake drag at 1 wheel

  • Repair the brake.

Loose or worn steering unit

  • Tighten or replace the steering unit.

Damage to parts inside the power steering valve

  • Replace the power steering unit.

Looseness, bending, or damage in the front or rear suspension parts

  • Retighten or replace the suspension parts.

Broken spring

  • Replace the spring.

Shock absorber malfunction

  • Replace the shock absorber.

Steering angle sensor malfunction (Models with electric power steering)

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
  • If the symptom is not corrected, replace the steering angle sensor.

Torque sensor malfunction (Models with electric power steering)

  • If a DTC is set, perform the repair accurately according to the specified DTC diagnosis.
  • If the symptom is not corrected, replace the electric power steering unit.
