Transmission oil replacement (MVL)

1. Transmission oil drain

1) Start the engine and warm up the transmission body sufficiently.

2) Stop the engine.

3) Remove the transmission drain plug and O-ring, and drain the transmission oil.

Warning

  • When the engine temperature is high, take care not to burn yourself.

2. Transmission oil inspection

1) Inspect the transmission oil.

  • Oil level
  • Presence of metal fragments
  • Presence of foreign materials

3. Transmission oil filling

1) Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.

Caution

  • Do not reuse the O-ring.

Tightening torque: 39 N・m { 4.0 kgf・m / 29 lb・ft }

2) Remove the filler plug.

3) Add transmission oil through the filler plug hole up to the lower edge of the hole.

4) Tighten the filler plug to the specified torque.

Caution

  • Do not reuse the O-ring.
  • If the transmission is disassembled and reassembled, perform a test run after refilling with transmission oil. Add the oil through the filler plug hole up to the lower edge of the hole.

Tightening torque: 39 N・m { 4.0 kgf・m / 29 lb・ft }
