Tightening torque
1: 59 N・m { 6.0 kgf・m / 44 lb・ft }
3: 137 N・m { 14.0 kgf・m / 101 lb・ft }
2. Transfer oil drain
1) Remove the drain plug and filler plug from the transfer case.
2) Drain the transfer oil from the transfer.
Note
- After draining the oil, apply the filler plug and drain plug to prevent the intrusion of foreign material.

4. Transfer disassembly
1) Remove the front companion flange end nut from the output shaft using the special tool.

2) Remove the front companion flange from the output shaft.
3) Remove the O-ring from the front output shaft.
5. Front output shaft oil seal removal
1) Remove the front output shaft oil seal from the transfer case.
Caution
- Be careful not to damage the transfer case.
