The battery sensor monitors the battery temperature. If a malfunction is detected in the temperature detection section, the DTC is set.

Condition for setting the DTC
- The battery temperature is detected in excessively high or low state for 30 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC P058C[00] sets
- Illuminate the generator warning light.
- Inhibit the charge control.
