DTC P0563 (Flash Code 72) System Voltage High (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P0563 description

The TCM monitors whether the battery voltage is within the normal range. If the TCM detects that the battery voltage is high, the DTC is set. Also, when there is a malfunction in the charging system, the generator warning light illuminates.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0563

  • The TCM detects that the battery voltage is 16 V or more for 60 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC P0563 sets

  • The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

  • The TCM inhibits the shift timing control.
  • The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
  • The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
  • The TCM inhibits the garage control.
  • The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
  • The TCM inhibits the engine torque control.
  • The TCM inhibits the skip gear shift control.
  • If the DTC is set in the reverse gear, the current gear position is retained.
  • If the DTC is set while running, the current gear position is retained. If a solenoid malfunction is found while running in 6th gear, the gear is shifted to 5th.
  • When the vehicle is stopped, the gear is shifted to 3rd.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0563

  • Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
