The transfer actuator is installed to the transfer and performs switching between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, and between High and Low using one actuator. The transfer actuator consists of the following components.
When the ECU with a built-in transfer actuator detects a malfunction in power supply, CAN communication, motor, or position sensor, it sends the diagnosis information to the TCCM. If the TCCM receives the signals of the shorted motor coil, motor coil open circuit, or Hall sensor malfunction, this DTC is set.
