DTC P2763 (Flash Code 33) Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid (SLU) Control Circuit High (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P2763 description

Lock-up control solenoid (SLU) is installed on the valve body assembly and adjusts the lock-up clutch oil pressure. The TCM controls lock-up control solenoid (SLU) based on the engine speed, throttle opening position, turbine speed sensor signal, output speed sensor signal, etc. The TCM detects the energized state of lock-up control solenoid (SLU) based on the current of the high-side control circuit and low-side control circuit of lock-up control solenoid (SLU). If the lock-up control solenoid (SLU) circuit current is too high, the TCM determines this is due to a short to the power supply circuit, and the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P2763

Condition for running the DTC

The ignition switch is ON.
The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.

Condition for setting the DTC

The TCM detects a short to the power supply circuit in the lock-up control solenoid (SLU) circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC P2763 sets

The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P2763

Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
